We have just received a phone call from The Royal Mail telling us that a lot of the stamps on our invitations to our Christmas Cracker Day have come off.  This means that about 100 of our invites have gone through their system with a surcharge applied to them, even though we have paid the postage already.  What a nightmare!  I can prove that I have paid for the stamps and we definitely did make sure that all of the invites were stamped.  All I can do is put a notice on the website and in our window, explaining the situation, and offering a refund of payment made.  So I am sure that our customers will understand but, at the same time, it is very frustrating for us as the invitations had to be paid for and there was time involved in getting them stamped and posted anyway.  We sent out over a thousand so hopefully the number won't get any bigger!  We will just have to hope ...
